Tax Settings
The Tax Settings section allows you to configure currency and tax rules for your online ordering system. These settings ensure that your pricing, receipts and invoices reflect the correct tax rates for your business and are compliant with local regulations.
To manage these options, log in to your Admin Panel and navigate to: Settings > Tax Settings

Currency
You can define the currency that will be displayed across your website. All product prices, fees, and invoices will be shown in this currency.
💡 Tip: Always double-check that your selected currency matches your business’s location and customer base.

Tax Rates
Fudli provides three VAT rate categories, giving you flexibility when applying tax to products and services:
- Standard VAT Rate – Typically applied to most products and services.
- Reduced VAT Rate – For items that fall under government-defined reduced tax categories.
- Custom VAT Rate – A fully configurable option if your business requires a specific tax rate.
Applying Tax Rates to Products
Each product in your menu can be assigned its own tax rate. For example:
- Food items may use a Standard VAT Rate.
- Drinks may use a Reduced VAT Rate.
- Special products may require a Custom VAT Rate.
This flexibility ensures that your pricing and invoicing remain compliant.

Taxable Items
In addition to products, you can choose whether to apply tax to the following:
- Minimum Order Amount – If you charge a fee for small orders.
- Cutlery – Optional charges for cutlery or utensils.
- Delivery Fees – Tax applied to customer delivery charges.
- Packaging Fees – Tax applied to takeaway packaging costs.
- Tips – Whether gratuities should be treated as taxable.
Each of these can be configured based on your jurisdiction’s tax requirements.
Legal Responsibility
⚠️ Important: It is your responsibility to ensure that all currency and tax settings are correct for your jurisdiction. While Fudli provides the tools to configure tax rates, we:
- Do not assume liability for incorrect configurations.
- Do not determine which items are taxable in your region.
- Do not handle the collection or payment of taxes on your behalf.
We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified accountant or tax advisor to confirm that your settings are configured correctly.
Best Practices
- Regularly review your tax settings to ensure compliance with any local changes in legislation.
- Apply different VAT rates per product category when required (e.g., food vs. beverages).
- Be transparent with customers by ensuring receipts and invoices clearly show tax breakdowns.
- Keep documentation of your tax configurations for accounting and auditing purposes.
